Abstract

This article examines how the everyday communication of the Shuar Arutam People organizes collective life and sustains territorial sovereignty in a context of developmental–colonial pressure. Through a “circular co-theorization” methodology that triangulates critical discourse analysis, life narratives, and ethnography, it identifies an “insurgent grammar”: an order of meaning grounded in practices such as the intentional use of Shuar Chicham, territorial walking, and community radio management. These actions, reiterated in daily life, configure a non-hierarchical strategy of the common. The study offers a situated category for understanding forms of resistance that remake the world from everyday experience.
