Abstract

Hoy en América Latina hay necesidad de afianzar nuestra identidad. Y la fotografía puede contribuir a ello, señala la coordinadora del Taller visual. La cultura latinoamericana necesita rescatar la fotografía del olvido en que se encuentra. Más que en ningún otro medio, la historia cotidiana del continente se encuentra en las imágenes fijas que se perdieron en archivos anónimos. "Hoy en América Latina hay necesidad de afianzar nuestra identidad. Y la fotografía puede contribuir a ello”. Antes que el cine y la televisión, la imagen fija permitió conocer los rostros, costumbres distintas y nos atrapó en el sueño de otras realidades."
