This issue of Chasqui, resulting from Call for Papers No. 162, presents articles that explore different theories, methodologies, and analytical approaches developed over a century of research on propaganda and the exercise of power in communication, taking Harold Lasswell’s (1926) Propaganda Technique in the World War as a landmark work, considered pioneering in the systematic study of the subject.
